Ray Price touches my heart like no one else can are no one, i have loved this man and his talents since i was a young girl, a long time ago, i use to get excited if Ray was going to be on the Grand Old Opry,. I had a change in Vegas to see Ray, when i was visiting my sister, but i spent all my money before i got to the ticket window what i had went there for, i will never forgive myself for that, it would have been just an honor to have have been in the same presents as he. "GOD" knows i love that man.

Drove up to Nashville from Raleigh, and saw a wonderful concert there at the Acuff Theatre in Opryland. Ray sounded and looked great; clearly he was enjoying the moment. He apologized for being hoarse, but I couldn't hear it. The only accommodation he made was to skip Spanish Eyes that night (those high notes!). Frankly, I don't know of any other singer even half his age who has pipes like that.

A local DJ/ Opry announcer spent a lot of time talking about Ray's career and accomplishments both before and after the show. He made a real big deal over the show, and rightfully so, but he kind of made it sound like folks there might not get another chance to see Ray. Not really sure what he meant; I know I and some others who were there will be seeing him again soon and next year as well. I predict he'll be back in Nashville again next year too.

The show was video taped. A lady asked the camera man about it, and he said that a DVD would be for sale on the web site. Not sure which web site that is, so if anyone sees it somewhere, please let me know!

I was surprised to see that Ray signed stuff for the fans after the show; a man at his age and level certainly doesn't need to do that. Does he usually do that? He stayed until the last autograph was signed, and was nice to everyone who waited. My heart really went out to him, signing all those things. My hand would hurt after I signed ten checks! Seems like he shouldn't have to do all that; maybe it's the CD revenue, or maybe its just Nashville. In any case, Ray is such a professional, and I left the theatre with a long drive home ahead knowing I had just heard and spoke to someone very special indeed.

Thank you Ray, looking forward to seeing you in Pigeon Forge next month!

When can I post?

Hi All,
This is Diannah, webmistress of the fan site.

I get questions from time to time about posts and while they don't post automatically.
Well, it's because every once in a while, more frequently now, we get bogus posts or tracbacks trying to use our site to get link hits for their snake oil and enhancement products. We had it good for a while then some how they found us again. It's sad actually. So what that means is that every post has to go through my mail box before it's allowed online. And as the come more and more frequently I'm gonna have to wait until they build up. Just so I can go through them one by one and approve the good ones and kill the bad ones. I know a few got by me the other day and I had to pull them off.
I'm going to assume it's a bad post if all that is said is "i love this place", or some other non-descriptive phrase that could be sent in by an automated login.
So, if you want your posts or comments to get published you'll have to make some comment that applies to the post uniquely.
I haven't seen the robots use a given name seen in the posts yet but I won't put it past them.
So, if your post is an emergency and it's not getting up you'll have to go through me.

Sorry it has to be this way, but I won't have that kind of stuff live off my web site if I can help it.

September 24, 2009 will go down as the second happiest day of my life. My most happy day was nearly 40 years ago when our son was born. My second happiest was the day I saw Mr. Price return to the stage at Willie's Place, Carl's Corner, Texas after recovering from surgery at age 83. At that moment I thanked God for answering my presistent Prayers.I will continue to Pray for Mr.Price asking for his good health and safety and happiness. The concert was wonderful. Mr. Price makes me feel like he is singing only to me. I had said no matter where he was going to perform first after his illness, I was going to be there. We had front row, center seats. What more could a person ask for? My son and I traveled together from the center of Kansas for this concert. Willie's Place was a perfect venue for this outstanding event. We plan to go back often. Heck, what's a 7 hour drive to see Ray Price. I would drive 7 days if that is what it would take.
Please, everyone, keep Mr. Price in your Prayers.
